Cuauhtzin Gutierrez is a Los Angeles born and raised director / producer. Throughout his career he’s created branded, commercial, and editorial content for both studios and brands. His extensive production career had him produce for brands like Bulova, Levis, Peroni, and Hasbro. And studios NBCUniversal, Bravo, Fox Sports, and FX Networks.
Gutierrez started out shooting and editing skate videos in high school. That experience led to a role as a camera operator for the Fox owned Fuel TV. He worked at Fox for several years while he attended film school at CSULB. After graduating, Gutierrez produced music videos and behind-the-scenes content at boutique agencies before moving to a full time in-house position at Fox. First as an associate producer at Fox Sports and then as a producer at FX Networks.
While at FX he worked on the award winning marketing team and managed all digital content for shows American Horror Story, Sons of Anarchy, The Americans, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and many others.
After 5 years at Fox he moved to publishing at Evolve Media. Serving as head of studio in Los Angeles, he developed and directed branded productions for a wide variety of brands.
Two and a half years later Gutierrez accepted a job as director of production that took him to New York City at a tech focused media start up, Futurism. He moved up quickly becoming head of video for the company, being elevated to Executive Director of Video Production and Content Development. In this role he oversaw video across departments for client and agency work, scripted series, and daily editorial content overseeing a team of six writer/producers.
Gutierrez recently founded his own production house back home in Los Angeles. American Indigenous Media (AIM) works with clients across genres to create multicultural content. They’re also developing original scripted and documentary features and series.
